2002 Toyota Corolla
Wiper Blade Size

The 2002 Toyota Corolla uses 20"" and 18"" front wiper blades with a 14"" rear blade. The blades mount on J-Hook (curved hook) arms. This is a mid-size configuration typical of hatchbacks and compact SUVs from this era.

The 1998–2002 Toyota Corolla all use the same wiper blade sizes, so any blade that fits the 2002 model will also fit these years.

J-Hook Installation Guide

Car driving in rain with wiper blades active
J-Hook Arms Difficulty: Easy ~8 minutes

J-Hook is the most common wiper arm type, found on the majority of vehicles worldwide. The arm ends in a curved metal hook that the blade adapter clips onto. Nearly all universal replacement blades include a J-Hook adapter, making replacement straightforward.

  1. 1 Pull the wiper arm away from the windshield until it locks in the upright position.
  2. 2 Rotate the blade perpendicular to the arm to expose the J-Hook slot.
  3. 3 Press the small release tab on the blade adapter and slide the old blade downward off the hook.
  4. 4 Align the new 20"" driver-side blade with the J-Hook opening and slide it upward until it clicks into place.
  5. 5 Gently lower the arm back onto the windshield to confirm a snug fit.
  6. 6 Repeat on the passenger side with the 18"" blade.
  7. 7 Repeat the process for the 14"" rear blade. Rear blades often use a different adapter — check the packaging.
  8. 8 Spray washer fluid and cycle the wipers to verify smooth, streak-free operation.

Tips

• J-Hook is the most common arm type — most universal wiper blades include a J-Hook adapter in the box.

• Place a folded towel on the windshield before removing the blade. If the bare arm snaps back, it can crack the glass.

• If the new blade wobbles, double-check that the hook is fully seated in the adapter channel.

Rear Wiper Blade

The 2002 Toyota Corolla has a 14"" rear wiper blade. Rear blades often use a different connector than the front blades — check the packaging for rear-wiper compatibility. Most auto-parts stores stock rear blades separately from front sets.
